UVA - 440Hz
440Hz - A multi-sensory, motion-sensitive, light and sound installation by United Visual Artists (UVA), exhibited at MONA, Hobart.
As part of the design team at UVA, Mikhaila Wyatt worked on the design development of the installation through spatial design, motion-capture, animation, and data mapping, from concept to final design.
The installation immerses the body within a rhythmic, sensory field, where light and sound are formed and transformed in real-time in response to bodily gesture.
A physical, visual and sonic dialogue evolves between the human and the technological, forming a unified abstract instrument, through which one's sense of presence and artistry are amplified.
Movements are traced and translated into delicate data point-clouds that illustrate the ghosted memories of motion.
The piece was developed for the MONA exhibition: On The Origin of Art, which featured art from a diverse range of artists including Georgia O'Keeffe, Jeff Koons and Andy Goldsworthy.
